Why Metal Fascia Covers Should Be Installed

Avoid Weather beaten and dry rotted timber fascia boards.
A good reason and example as to why timber fascia boards should be covered and enclosed with a new metal fascia board cover before it’s too late. 
Poorly repaired and painted rotten timber fascia board corner that had been exposed to the elements over many years, led to the inevitable decay and loss of strength and integrity of the timber itself and was beyond repair. 

This led to the unavoidable and expensive process of removing the guttering and tiles and the damaged timber fascia  and replacement of the whole corner (which is the timber in photo that looks pink) with a new timber fascia board to rectify the issue and before the process of any guttering could be installed. 

This could have been avoided if a metal fascia cover was fitted early enough to all the timber fascia boards prior to the rot and decay taking hold. 

New metal fascia covers fitted over existing timber ensures the longevity of the existing timber fascias and stops the timbers exposure to the harsh weather as the timber ages by encapsulating the timber. Reducing and or eliminating the need for costly timber fascia board replacements.
